  • Polaris RZR XP 900 Long Travel Kit...Sick!

    Hey guys,

We just got word that the first Polaris RZR XP 900 Long Travel Kit has hit the market in a big way...it's like nothing we've ever seen before, that's for sure.

Check it out: Polaris RZR XP 900 Long Travel Kit

Yup it looks nice but it doesn't look like they have relocated the shocks to change the rake angle to allow for the extra length of the A-Arms, this will leave the shocks at a disadvantage IMHO. I wonder how the market will like the kit.

To early for me to have an opinion but at a first look it just looks like longer arms and as we all know, there is more to an LT kit than just longer pieces of metal.

I like it and it looks smooth, but absolutly useless around here.

I'm curious as to why you would say that. I haven't seen the UTVRR course yet. Is it too narrow for this kit?

          thanks,

Trust me, there's a lot more that went into this kit than just extending the arms, that's for sure. The shock angles and motion ratios are totally within normal limits, as well, that I can tell. As far as the width, though, it's definitely going to be wide, but as Brit said where do you guys ride in the South East that limits you to narrow trails?

In my opinion, if you're a trail rider, the RZR or RZR-S is better suited for you anyway. The XP is already too wide for most public/national park trails (50" width). I probably won't be trail riding in my XP at all, so unless a race course becomes too narrow, the extra width should only help for racing. It could be an issue when passing, but you're only looking at 3" wider per side.

It says 3.5" total of 7"

                That comes to 70" total

So I guess that would mean that somebody could bring their Subaru WRX Rally Car????
                They are only 68.11"

LOL Crawler, ever the optimist. Good pic though.

3.5 per side makes 71 not 70. The XP is 64 already.

I do appreciate the humor, but unless this course is too narrow, I still don't see the downside to the extra width. The ECORS courses are definitely not too narrow.

                        All joking aside.......
I really think it would be a disadvantage for shure.
You could prob get around the course.
I just hope I dont start behind you!!!!

Ha. I didn't think about that. Maybe I should make it even wider.

The ground clearance would be a big disadvantage. That thing would hang up on any trails that are more than a dirt road. With it being that wide you would to run 38" tires around here.

I have already addressed that issue with HCR. The ride height in the videos is purposely low; setup for the whoops. A quick twist of the spanners will put it where it needs to be for our area.
